Around the Office

This past month has yielded recognition for Conversation and the agency’s clients in a few different areas. Some of what happened around the office included:

  • Winning a W3 Award for the agency’s work with dressbarn
  • Being named a Top 100 Event Agency by Event Marketer
  • Recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as a Top 30 company to watch

Entrepreneur Magazine and the Empact 100 – This past September, Conversation was selected as a Top 30 company to watch by Entrepreneur Magazine. The list highlights companies that “are not only unique and worth keeping an eye on, but also have a shot at leaving a big, bold mark on the world.” It was comprised of companies featured as Empact100 winners, an organization that recognizes young entrepreneurs for their “outstanding work and exceptional companies.” This was the second consecutive year Conversation was recognized on the Empact100 list.

Over the past year our team and client roster have grown substantially as the agency continues to stay at the forefront of innovation. To be recognized by a prominent publication the likes of Entrepreneur and an organization such as Empact100 for a second time is truly an accomplishment,” said Frank O’Brien, Founder of Conversation. “It shows that our hard work is making an impression on the industry and inspiring others.”

Another W3 Award for Conversation – Last month Conversation was recognized by the W3 Awards with a Silver Award in the General Website – Corporate Social Responsibility category for their work with dressbarn. In October 2012, the agency launched dressbarn’s “Paint the Country Pink” campaign to acknowledge the brand’s devotion to Breast Cancer Awareness and women’s health. A microsite featuring a map of the USA was created that encouraged users to virtually paint their state. For each paint stroke, dressbarn donated $1 to the American Cancer Society. By the end of October over 20,000 people had painted their state.

“This campaign was a multi-step approach that created buzz and started growing awareness even before the microsite launched,” said Frank O’Brien. “The agency enjoyed the chance to help dressbarn support such an important cause.”

We Bring the Party – Event Marketer Magazine gave a shout out to Conversation by including the agency on its 2013 Event Marketer “It List.” The list recognizes some of the top event marketing agencies in the country, and with notable event work spread across our portfolio, our inclusion was a natural fit.
