As the use of smartphones has become increasingly mainstream, showrooming (the act of browsing through a brick-and-mortar store while searching for the item on your mobile device and then purchasing online) has become more and more of an issue for retailers.  E-commerce rivals are here to stay, so it is imperative for retailers to develop strategies to mitigate the risks that they pose.
