10 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

1). Though I’ve lived on islands all my life (with the exception of two months in New Jersey) I don’t like the ocean, because I have an irrational fear of sea animals.

2). If Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls is on television, I’ll probably be watching it (and laughing at same parts that I always do).

3.) I love smiley faces.  I tend to put them in random places.  It’s my way of making the world a slightly happier place.

4). The morning of last Christmas was the first that I did not spend with my immediate family.  Instead, I was in Trinidad with my cousin, and due to a flat tire at 11pm on Christmas Eve (and other unforeseen circumstances), we somehow ended up at a nondescript, hole-in-the-wall bar whose only customers at the time were four quite interesting characters: one was a guitarist hiding from his angry wife, and another was the regional manager of a renowned multi-national company.  The third was the Prime Minister’s cousin, and the fourth was an African-born Indian who was raised in England and eventually made his way to Trinidad.  To say their stories were fascinating would be an understatement.

Eventually, we all ended up singing and making music till 9am Christmas morning, and it ended up being one of the most interesting, unorthodox Christmases ever.

5). I’m obsessed with the stars and space.  The first thing I do whenever I go out at night is to look up at the sky.  If there’s a show about the planets/stars/universe on the Science channel, I’ll probably be watching that too.

6). My favorite form of communication is through funny pictures, especially from

7). The only thing that really scares me is needles.  I usually go years between doctor visits because of it.

8). When I was six years old, I won a bucket of KFC for answering a trivia question on a TV show.  They were filming at a mall that my parents and I happened to be shopping in, and called me over.  The rest is TV history.

9). Many of the comics on can express aspects of me more accurately than I ever could.

10). Shaun is not my first name.
