L’Oreal Launches Contest to Find Next Face of Marketing Efforts

L’Oreal is on the hunt for a new makeup designer to add to their team under a 1-year contract.  Their global contest called “The Brush” is targeting influential beauty vloggers and make-up savvy amateurs in an effort to gain a new face to push their makeup line.  Vlogging is becoming increasingly popular all across YouTube.  Users uploading helpful category specific tutorials who have a large following can be amazingly influential for brands that they showcase.  L’Oreal is taking their chances on a new marketing campaign asking “Digitally savvy beauty designers [to] enter the contest by uploading a three-minute creative video that recreates a look on either themselves or someone else. L’Oréal Paris recommends that the look includes eyes, lips and foundation products while meshes up different colors.”  The winner will sign the 1 year contract for around $116,000 and will create looks for beauty shoots and beauty tutorials and will help with product development and press interviews.  Interested candidates can submit their work up until February 15th, and then the candidates will be narrowed down over the next 3 months.  The final winner will be announced on May 1st.
