Looks for online and offline advertising expertise
July 21, 2011 (New York) – The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh announces that it has retained New York City-based Conversation, LLC to assist with overall advertising needs.
SUNY Plattsburgh, whose tagline is “Imagine what you will accomplish,” offers more than 60 majors.
“We’re excited to move forward with a new campaign,” said Bryce Hoffman, executive director of marketing and communications for Plattsburgh. “We have a lot of opportunities to offer, and with Conversation’s help, we will strategically spread our message and make it easy and convenient for our target audiences to learn more about what we can do for them.”
SUNY Plattsburgh’s new campaign will target four different audience groups: prospective students with high academic ability, transfer students, parents, and influencers (such as guidance counselors). “We want to ensure a connection with SUNY Plattsburgh’s wide range of followers and targets,” said Myles Kellam, managing director at Conversation. “In order to reach the audience we will use data modeling and behavioral targeting. This will help us find the right tactics and processes to use.”
Conversation’s scope of work will include the creation of online ads, radio ads, search engine marketing and landing pages. The advertisements will fall into three categories – general messages about the college, niche messages that align classes and majors with more specific interests, and Spongecell ad units, that include Facebook and SUNY Plattsburgh home page links and downloadable application forms.
“We’re excited to begin another project with SUNY Plattsburgh,” said Kellam. “We look forward to helping them with this new stage of messaging.”
