First Mondays in Inc. Magazine – Conversation’s First Mondays tradition – in which the entire agency pauses to explore creative solutions to agency and client endeavors – didn’t skip a beat throughout the second quarter. Activities included bolstering each other’s knowledge about industry trends through trivia games, strengthening inter-agency relationships through unique icebreaker games, and partnering with Conversation’s sister company, Red Shirt Entertainment, to create skits that reflected Conversation’s culture and day-to-day operations (pictured left).
In addition, our monthly ritual turned some heads, as agency Founder Frank O’Brien was asked to submit a guest contribution about First Mondays to Inc. Magazine. Frank’s article, “Do-Not-Call Mondays: The Perks of Being Unavailable,” ran in the publication’s June 2013 issue.
We talk “The Pitch” with Ad Age – With Season Two of AMC’s unscripted series “The Pitch” set to premiere on August 15, Conversation wanted to offer advice to this year’s participating agencies through a contribution to Advertising Age.
While filming of the show has already taken place, preparing to be on the world stage is a task in and of itself. Frank O’Brien attempted to set the record straight regarding what to expect through the article “Three Things the New Crop of Agencies on AMC’s ‘The Pitch’ Should Expect.” In it, Frank touches upon several key points, including how to handle the public’s perception of your agency, what to expect in terms of industry recognition, and suggestions for gaining positive exposure through the press.
Ultimately, being asked to participate on the show should be considered an ideal situation. As far as our agency is concerned, it is a chance to show the world what you are capable of, regardless of how the episode is edited.
Strategic Leadership – Conversation is pleased to announce the promotion of Alex Realmuto to Director of Research & Strategy. During his first year with Conversation, Alex has both lent support to multiple agency departments, including Brand Development and Client Services, while spearheading numerous Conversation research initiatives, such as authoring the agency’s white papers.
In Alex’s new role, he will continue to support the research efforts of the agency while contributing to new and current business goals and objectives.
